Lloyd Hilton
Lloyd is Head of Hg Catalyst, leading product, commercial strategy, and scaling the team across Europe and North America. He has driven multiple Catalyst product builds directly, including Cephai, a system of action for property managers at CINC Systems, and Nexus AI, an agentic system pairing wealth advisers with AI agents at FE fundinfo. Prior to Catalyst, Lloyd built data and ML products for Hg portfolio companies and was an early member of Hg's AI team. Before Hg, he was an early employee at JMAN Group, where he built data products for FTSE 50 businesses and major public institutions. Lloyd has a triple first in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, where he developed drug delivery mechanisms.
Tristan Ratchford
Tristan leads Catalyst's engineering organisation as CTO. He joined from Datadog, where he led the build and launch of their flagship AI agent, Bits AI SRE, for autonomous incident investigation, which rapidly scaled to investigating >12k incidents and $2m ARR within 3 mo. of launch. Prior to that he was Lead Software Engineer at Wellington Management, and formerly Co-founder and CEO of Apitite (acquired by Price Intelligently). He started his career at IBM Research where he worked on early NLP systems for HR analytics and developed patents for tracking resume changes. A proud Canadian, Tristan has an MSc in Computer Science from McGill University, played Rugby on team Ontario in high school, and has a combined powerlifting squat, bench & deadlift PR of 1045 lbs.
Alexi Carydias
Alexi is Catalyst Europe Lead, responsible for AI product strategy and engagement across Hg's European portfolio. He has led product builds spanning healthcare and professional services, working with portfolio companies on how AI can reshape care delivery and automate complex knowledge work. Prior to Catalyst, Alexi spent six years as an early member of Hg's AI team, embedded across portfolio companies in healthcare, compliance, and tax. He led Retina, Hg's internal AI product suite delivering deal intelligence and AI-powered sales targeting across the portfolio. Before Hg, he was at Strategy&, advising FTSE 100 clients on strategy and analytics. Alexi holds a first-class MEng in Mechanical Engineering from University College London.
